Its main studio is situated at plot 42 Road A, Boma Hill in Mubende, central region of Uganda. There is a liasion office situated on the main street, Plot 9, Mubende Town Council. The station started broadcasting in 2009 and operates on a 24 hour broadcast, seven days a week, covering local and international news, talkshows, and edutainment participatory programs. Tropical FM invests in documentaries, educational programming, and investigative on air material.
